Skills shortages still persist in some areas of the labour market, says REC

The REC has told the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC), the body set up to advise the Home Office on immigration policy, that access to the UK labour market needs to be flexible to help get the economy out of the recession.

REC insists that Limited Company Contractors should still be able to opt out

In its response to the consultation launched by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), the REC has stressed that Regulation 32 -which allows  limited companies to opt out  of the provisions of the Employment Agencies Act - must remain.
